Integration guide · API pendingLTX-2.3 Dub-It video dubbing
Dub-It is an LTX-2.3 IC-LoRA workflow for replacing spoken dialogue in an existing video. It generates new speech and lip movements from a text prompt while using the original video and audio as references.
How Dub-It works
This is speech replacement for a source video, rather than a separate audio file driving a new video.
- Provide a source video containing a speaker and original audio.
- Write the replacement dialogue in the language the speaker should use.
- The LTX-2.3 Dub-It workflow uses the source clip as a reference to generate new speech and matching mouth movements.
- Review the output for dialogue, timing, and visual continuity.
Inputs and expected output
These are model-level inputs. The Medux HTTP request fields and response schema will be published when the service is connected.
Source video
An existing clip with a visible speaker and original audio. Dub-It uses both picture and audio as references.
Replacement dialogue prompt
The exact new words, with the speaker and target language stated in the prompt. Supply translations yourself.
Output
A video with replacement speech and corresponding lip movement. The model aims to retain the speaker’s appearance and vocal identity; results depend on the source footage and prompt.
Medux API availability
The Dub-It service is not connected yet. This guide reserves a discoverable place in API Reference without presenting a non-existent endpoint as callable.
The endpoint path, authentication requirements, upload contract, request parameters, task response, and billing details are pending service integration. They will be added here before API calls are enabled.
For an available workflow today, see the existing audio-driven video API. It uses a different input and is not the Dub-It adapter.
Model compatibility and prompting
Use the LTX-2.3 Dub-It adapter with its version-matched workflow.
Prompt pattern: [Speaker] is speaking [Language/Accent], saying: "[Dialogue]"
The official Dub-It guide lists English, French, Spanish, German, and Russian as validated languages. It does not translate text automatically: provide the final dialogue in the desired language.
The Lightricks/LTX-2.3-22b-IC-LoRA-DubIt adapter is validated on LTX-2.3. LTX has not validated it on LTX-2.5. For model and workflow details, see the official LTX Dub-It guide.
